Band Bio

Formed as a power trio in early 2006, Equaleyes began touring
through Idaho, Utah & Colorado with a blend of rock, reggae,
funk & bluegrass. When the group brought onboard a fourth
voice with keyboards and accordian in late 2007 they infused a
pop-electronic sound to their already diverse repitoir. Armed
with their sophomore album, While I’m Alive (7/22/08 release),
Equaleyes is attracting both young & old to the dance floors
each time they play. With a rapidly growing fan base Equaleyes
has found opportunities to play such venues as the Knitting
Factory (Boise, ID) and Fox Theatre (Boulder, CO) along with
opening for larger acts like the Wailers and The Jerry Garcia
Band.

The foursome is currently touring throughout the west coast to
fresh areas including California, Oregon, Washington, Montana,
and Arizona. Meanwhile, they’re making moves towards the east
to play shows for all the Atlantic coast fans.

Brian

Lifes is a trip, whats yours? Stop letting time rule your existence and start living in the now…

Music is a an ancient, spiritual, creative language, expressed by humans and animals alike for eons. Brian Louderbough has been playing and studying music since the early age of four. It began with classical piano lessons for 9 years until the the natural beat inside, the beat of the heart, couldn’t be held at bay any longer and Brian discovered drumming. Playing percussion and drum kit in school band and honors orchestra as well as learning to play the 6 string guitar on his own and with friends through middle and high school, Brian learned the intricacies, beauty, power and unlimited potential of playing music with larger, organized groups of people.

“Playing and listening to music makes me feel something that nothing else ever has ever done, almost like becoming one with the universe and seeing the true nature of what really is. It’s becoming more of a spiritual journey every day and I keep asking myself, what can I do to make this world a better place? The answer that comes to me is to focus on playing and writing music, spreading my inner love and light to the people and world around me and to live very day to it’s fullest potential”

Brian’s new found love for the Bass Guitar, his newest of instruments, has been an enlightening experience. He feels that is really combines all previous musical knowledge of piano, drums, and guitar into one instrument. “The groove is where its at and sinking into that pocket with the rest of the guys in Eqauleyes is something that makes me feel so in tune…I appreciate it more and more as we grow and evolve as a group.” His other true passions involve meditation, Zen state of mind, yoga, attaining inner peace and harmony, reading, dreaming, exercising, eating healthy, awareness, nature/the outdoors and of course, LOVING!!!

“The natural beat of our heart is music in itself, its the reason humans are so naturally attracted to rythym. I love all music. I don’t like all these musical boundries that are put up in so much of the music that is being created today. Hopefully i can help to change that…..We are all ONE, let us end this separation NOW, TOGETHER!! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE ALL THAT IS….”

Daniel

Daniel Blumenfeld, pronounced (Dan-Yell Blue-Man-Feld) aka “the Hawk” was born in the rain forests of Guatemala sometime between Oct. 78′ and Sept 81′. No one knows for sure but some think the world is round. His father was a python hunter and his mother a tribal warrior princes. On a completely different topic, he once pondered the thought, if the universe was square, would astronauts get stuck in the corners? and if so, would they be able to get out!

He began his career as an intergalactic space fighter/hockey player at the age of six with his best friend kcirtaP dnulshO which lasted until their early teens. He enjoys playing polka and cajun on his accordion as well as eating sushi. An avid chef and day tripper, Daniel began his quest for music in the late 90’s. Being influenced by artists such as Bill Evans, John Medeski and Van Morrison to Bands like Tool and STS9. He has an appreciation for all types of musik as well as a strong lust for life. It all came together for Hawk in October 07′ when he joined EqualEyes and began living his dream of playing musik for a living.

“Music has been the biggest part of my life for almost as long as I can remember. From listening to old Beatles LP’s on my dad’s record player to just sitting around the camp fire with my accordion and my earth brothers and sisters, I’m absolutely in love with it. It’s in my blood.” -Daniel Blumenfeld.

He spends his of time meditating in the Himalayan Mountains with his old accordion and no one really know’ why they call him “the Hawk”

Will

As a three year old Will Prescott was just starting to get used to
walking and talking, but when his parents got him a vintage Ludwig
drum kit, he added drumming to the list. Ever since then he has
been playing the drums with his friends and family. He started to
get serious about playing percussion as a teenager through the
rhythms of drum circles and with local bands like Unplug. Being
self-taught and aspiring to a wide range of music from classical
to metal he has developed a style that is distinctive and
traditional. After meeting up with the band Frame of Mind in the
fall of ‘05, he began to collaborate with Jeff Crosby who was
playing gigs around Idaho. Soon after with Brian Louderbough they
formed what would become Equaleyes. Since then they have been
bringing music all over the west.

Jeff

Raised barefoot and free in the mountains of Central Idaho, Jeff Crosby was oblivious to his artistic nature until picking up a friend’s guitar at age 15. Inspired by a summer of music festivals he began writing and then performing in coffee shops and on street corners around the McCall/Donnelly area. His music lessons were long evening son local musician’s back porches; each style wearing itself into what has become Crosby’s signature, Pop-n-Roll Reggae Blues-Country-Funk with a clean dose of shredding guitar for good measure. At the ripe old age of 21 Crosby has blossomed as a performer and he feels the best is yet to come.
